Evp recordings are still a
mystery to some. The actual art of
capturing evp's is quite easy, and
in this digital era we have an
abundance of equipment that can be
used to record such phenomena from
mp3 players to mobile phones. Some
would argue you would need high tech
equipment to really capture a great
recording, but this is simply not
true.
How do
you capture an EVP ?
Recording an Evp is quite simple,
place the recording equipment in the
room you wish to try and then set
the device to record (use the
highest quality setting). proceed to
ask questions leaving a long gap
between each one. You will not here
any response in real time indeed
that's if you do get a response at
all. Listen back to the device
either via headphones or via the pc.
You may need to do some sound
manipulation if you can her a faint
voice or sound. This can be done by
loading the file into a wav editor,
highlighting the part of the file
you wish to increase the volume and
apply the settings. You do not need
specialist software to do this,
windows comes with a wav editor, and
users of Creative cards have the
excellent wave editing software
built in. If you do not have these i
would suggest searching Google for a
free program called Audacity.
What
should i expect to hear?
Expect nothing, if you do get an
answer or voice then you have been
extremely lucky, please understand
that you do not necessarily need to
be in a know haunted location. From
the example you will hear below, i
was actually in my bedroom, and yes
that did concern me then, not now
but at the time it was not nice
knowing that i had received a
response from beyond the grave in my
own safe room.
Will I
open a gateway to the unknown?
Well firstly i would state if you
are easily scared then no i would
not advise you to proceed, just like
the Ouija and other communication
tools, they can cause psychological
fear and paranoia. If you are of
sound mind then feel free to
experiment at your own risk. Since
White Noise the movie was released
many religious groups have continued
to state that you will open a
gateway to hell. Well firstly you
have to ask do you believe in hell?
if that's a no then you cannot
believe you will open a gateway to
any where. I just advise caution in
the process because fear can be a
powerful emotion.

The following
EVP was taken on an invo in a secret
location with UKGI
This evp was taken in the attic of a
very old location, we had felt many
disturbed presences within this
area. the recording was taken during
a vigil including core members.
Video was also running at the same
time and confirmed no one was moving
in the room. There were no rooms
below us and no other teams were
moving.
