Investigation Report April 8th 2006

The Falstaff experience is located in the heart of Stratford Upon Avon and provided a very atmospheric location, for a paranormal investigation. In fact in all the time I have held investigations, i would have to say i have never enjoyed a vigil as much as i did here. Everything was set for a perfect night.

The event was held by UKGI, who are in my opinion one of the best paranormal groups within the UK. The events are run by Heidi and Alan, a medium and a Scientific Semi believer respectively. All events are well structured yet retain a light hearted approach, which allows for a more productive investigation to take place. Anyway, back to the investigation, now before I start I will state the report is not complete, Heidi retains all the notes as to generate a complete report of the nights events, A copy of the full report can be found here, but for now here is a fragmented list of events which occurred at this foreboding location

We were greeted at the location by Steve, our host for the night. After an initial tour of the premises from Steve we regrouped at our base for the evening. Heidi split the group into three teams, and we were all allocated a room to investigate. The first vigils of the night with UKGI are silent vigils. This quiet time allows you to become accustomed to the atmosphere of the location, and also allows you to pick up on any odd noises that may become apparent.

Our team headed off to the Skull room, on the lower ground floor. A very interesting room walls adorned by detailed paintwork of a library room, and a carefully laid out Christian alter adorns the outside wall. As we sat quietly, we took numerous pictures, one which has caused quite a stir amongst the group. Heidi was taking a picture of one of our members sitting in the far corner of the room, upon reviewing the picture, a strong white light (not an orb) was apparent above his head. The strange thing was this light cause a shadow on the wall behind. At the same time this picture was taken the team member stated he had felt something above him. The next room our group took was the Plague room and corridor. Unlike downstairs the upstairs areas felt very depressive and quite overwhelming. Myself and Heidi took the end of the corridor by the stairs. While the rest of our group spread out across the corridor. Heidi started to feel a presence, someone of royalty, at which point i took the picture below.

As i had previewed the picture the picture immediately after taking it my first instinct was my finger was over the lens. I checked and it was not, in fact it would of been impossible for me to block the lens as i was gripping the right hand side edge and the lens was in the far left top of the camera (a Fuji z1). If you click on the picture above you will also see that through the mist you can still see the outline of the framework and the coffin. The atmosphere started to darken, and as we moved into the main room, the feeling of being watched became more prevalent .

Heidi had mentioned a famous royal wife, who has become her spirit guide. The king who had visited here, and or his Main "mercenary" was not happy at hearing this name being called out. Heidi moved around to get out of the danger areas and upon looking in the plague room, she reports she was pushed into the door frame. At this point I escorted Heidi out of the building back to the base.

After a short break, we proceeded to our last silent vigil, which was held in the darkest room of all the Tavern room. It was here that several members of the group picked up on the presence of a little girl aged approx 6/7, whose name could of possible been Elizabeth. I felt she had cuts down her bare legs, and Heidi also commented on a short dress. I kept seeing an image of a man swinging from the beams although i was not seeing this from a third persons perspective but actually from the person being hanged, and could see myself swaying. Apart from the feeling of being watched from the doorway, and many strange temperature changes, nothing drastic happened.

After another short break around a wonderfully smoky fire, the teams joined to hold a séance in the main room upstairs. the first Séance was conducted purely by the mediums. This proved to be quite interesting, as we all felt the presence was not just in the room but was actually standing in the circle. Twice i had the image of a haunting figure tall and gaunt looking with a drawn face peering at us all, and leaning over to attempt to scare. This figure though became transfixed with Heidi, and she felt a gun was being pointed at her. Sylvia also felt that she had grown tall and very prominent.

We then conducted a second séance which all group members partook in. Again the group felt many varied experience, including blindness in the right eye (reported by two members), very hot hands, Flashes of light, and auditory phenomena Both these séances will be available for download shortly in the media section.

Orb Or Dust - You Decide ( Plague room corridor)

The next vigil we undertook was a table tilting session in the Skull room. This provided no results. The team upstairs also failed to get any further evidence. So we moved upstairs and held a table tilt session in the Tavern Room. At first nothing came through but after consulting with Heidi, the three ladies took to the table, in the belief that if the young girl was scared of males she would not come forward. The pictures below show examples of what happened.

The investigation was well into the last quarter, when the ladies decided they would visit upstairs. Myself and another team member went back into the skull room, where this fascinating picture was taken by myself, a control picture was also taken and no repeat occurrence took place, a further control photo was also taken where we breathed out to try and replicate the image, again this photo proved no repeat.

Throughout the night many names were picked up, some confirmed some not, but Steve ran through the history of the location, and a lot of the experiences and visuals that the members picked up on was confirmed.
